Safety Management Consultancy have just successfully completed their first course of the NEBOSH International Geneneral Certificate for the Irish Prison Service in the Republic of Ireland. Having sucessfully won the tender to deliver the course for the service, SMC Ltd delivered the course to the first round of delegates in March and April 2011. The course was delivered at the Irish Prison Service Training Centre in Portlaoise, Co. Laois. The exams and practical assessment have just been completed and we wish them all luck for their results.

We have recently got accreditation for the NEBOSH Award in Health and Safety at Work. The new 3 day Award is aimed at anyone who have wants or needs to understand the principles of health & safety as part of their job (eg. supervisors, team leaders, HR professionals; facilities managers or those working with young people in a training environment). The new qualification which is also designed to meet the needs of an international audience.
