Emergency First Aid at Work

Who should attend
Aimed at small companies who under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require to have an 'Appointed Person' to look after first aid arrangements. Even though these persons may not require First Aid training it is important that these persons have basic knowledge of first aid to enable them to assist in the even of an emergency.
Course Objectives
The course is based on group work with a lot of practical activity, enhancing the learning of the skills required in a fun but formal way. The course will cover:
Health and safety (first aid) regulations
Managing an incident
The priorities of first aid
Treatment of an unconscious casualty
Resuscitation
Shock
Choking
Seizures
Bleeding
Common workplace injuries
Duration
1 day and achieved by successful completion of the assessment.
