Introduction
Board Members, Directors and other senior management positions are not immune from prosecution, as a number of high profile HSE cases have shown. IOSH Safety for Senior Executives is a course that provides delegates with an understanding of strategic planning on risk management, how to manage safety more effectively within their organisations, and how to meet their legal obligations with regards to health and safety legislation.

This course is aimed at Senior Executives of organisations employing more than 250 employees.

The course gives delegates an understanding of:
- Their health & safety role & responsibilities as Senior Executives
- Health and Safety Law
- An overview of Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act
- Recognising the importance of integrating health & safety objectives with other business objectives in order to minimise the overall risk.
- Knowing the consequences of failing to manage health & safety effectively and enforcement by the HSE.
- The principles of OSHMS, continual improvement & annual reporting.
- HSC/ IOD Guidance on Leadership in Health and Safety

Certification
An IOSH Safety for Senior Executives certificate is awarded to all those delegates who attend the course and who successfully complete the written assessment.
